Staffordshire ASA V-Swim​ Conditions

Staffordshire V-Swim Competition  - 12th April 2021 to 31st August 2021*
 
Introduction

With the potential absence of the traditional County Championships, Staffordshire County Swimming Association are promoting a virtual swimming competition for 2021 called 'Staffordshire V-Swim Competition'.

The Swimming Championships, as we have known them in the past, are suspended until further notice, therefore the Championship Trophies and medals will not be presented during this time. It is asked that the 2020 recipients retain the trophies until a recall notice is given by the Trustee of Trophies.
 
Promotors Conditions

  1. The promotor of this event is Staffordshire ASA
  2. Held under Swim England Level X Racing Guidance
  3. There are some exceptions to the Level X Guidance
  4. As this is a short course competition, times may be converted to short course as long at the original swim was completed in a pool of a length greater than 25 metres. Please convert times before sending and ensure that the submitted file is for short course only. Please note that Swim England Level-X does not allow converted times
  5. The event will be called the 'Staffordshire V-Swim Competition'
  6. Swimmers must be members of a Staffordshire affiliated club and registered with Swim England as category 2
  7. The event will commence 12th April 2021 and run to 31st August 2021*
  8. There are no qualifying times for this event
  9. A leader board will be posted on a monthly basis showing names only
  10. The final result will be posted on the website within two weeks of the end date *
  11. Times achieved will not be eligible for County Record purposes
  12. Events will be the full range of individual championships
    Freestyle 50m, 100m 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m
    Backstroke 50m, 100m and 200m
    Breaststroke 50m, 100m and 200m
    Butterfly 50m, 100m and 200m
    Individual Medley 100m 200m and 400m
    With the addition of para athletes S1 – S4 150m IM
  13. Age groups will be 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16+ as of 31st December 2021
  14. Enter Level X in Sport Systems. Export the data in the neutral data format and send it to the recorder via the upload page on www.staffsasa.co.uk. If you are using a version of Sport Systems that has the Neutral Data Format 'greyed out', please upload the complete meet file
  15. There is no limit on the number of times a swimmer is entered into an event, only the best swim in each event will count
  16. Awards – Each swimmer entering the competition will receive a competitors Badge. There will be prizes for the best placed in age groups and events
  17. There are no entry fees for this competition
  18. Anything not covered in these conditions will be decided by the Staffordshire ASA Swimming Committee
  19. These terms and conditions my be modified at any time depending upon Covid regulations in force
