Ted Rock
Ted Rock was introduced into swimming by his children. He joined the Wolverhampton Swimming Club in 1974, served as a Committee Member and helped on the pool side in many capacities. He was made a Vice-President of the Swimming Club.
Ted was elected to the Staffordshire ASA Executive in 1976 and was elected as President in 1986. Ted and his wife Mary attended many official functions and made many new friends.
Ted Rock was a big man in stature, he was very unassuming but when he did speak people listened. He was a management expert and his skill was evident in any debate. Ted was always able to demonstrate his understanding of a problem and provided a solution.
Ted was a devout Catholic and was an enthusiastic Member of his Parish and all the activities within. He was a tireless worker for charity; Ted Rock was indeed a good man, we will miss him
